BoFoReg consists of a forest tree nursery, a seed laboratory and various controlled growth facilities, a stress test field and other field areas that allow both research and development work on plant production methods, and phenomenon-based research, such as plant responses and adaptation to climate change and other stress factors. Characteristics that can be controlled include air and soil temperature, soil moisture, rainfall, light intensity and spectrum, photoperiod and fertilisation levels.
